Samurai Guards Art

This painting grew from a tattoo sketch that combined classic Japanese motifs — bamboo (flexibility and growth), waves (the power of the sea), and the red sun (vital energy, symbol of Japan itself). Over time, it gained its own spirit, as samurai appeared — armored, armed, and carrying a battle banner, the hata.
The Path of the Warrior is perilous and steep. Whoever walks it must remain ever vigilant, never straying from the chosen road. A single misstep may bring ruin. Along treacherous trails that lure one away from purpose, it takes immense strength to preserve composure, unwavering faith, and the will to move forward alone through darkness and uncertainty.
And when the path seems truly impossible, Guardians from other realms come to aid the warrior — unseen protectors who shield him from danger and guide him onward, so that nothing may break his will or his faith. With such allies, no obstacle is insurmountable.
On the samurai banner, the word gaman (我慢) is written — meaning patience and endurance.

“You will call, and they shall rise from the depths — Guardians of the unseen world, who grant their protection to those who follow the Way of the Warrior. May they shield you from roads that lead astray, from fatal chance, and from the loss of strength.
Now these allies are always with you.
Your will shall overcome all.”
